Data protection with "Navigation (Beta)"

Google does not store any personal data while using Google Maps Navigation (Beta). Google doesn't track routes, but like other Google Maps features, it does collect anonymous sample speed and location data that is used for features like traffic crowdsourcing  be used.

When you calculate a route or do a search on the map, your request is sent to Google as the default route query. No personal data is transmitted in the process.
